Almost a month after a first visit to Beirut - following the destructive and murderous explosion in the port of the Lebanese capital on August 4 - the French president is back in Lebanon, Monday August 31 until Tuesday 1 September.

During this 24-hour trip, Emmanuel Macron intends to further increase the pressure on the Lebanese leaders, whom he urges to set up a unity government as well as a reform program.

He is also due to meet Lebanese singer Fairuz, one of the most famous voices in the Arab world, who performed at the Olympia.
