A street in Los Angeles will soon be renamed after Kobe Bryant, the late Lakers player. A portion of Figueroa Street, a street near the Staples Centers where the basketball player had so often played with his team, will therefore take the name of Kobe Bryant Boulevard.

Figueroa St. will soon be Kobe Bryant Blvd. between Olympic & MLK.

Kobe's legacy is bigger than basketball. #KobeBryantBlvd will be a reminder to everyone, young and old who drive down it, there is no obstacle too big and that with the #Mambamentality, anything is possible. pic.twitter.com/gvekIFOU5u

“Kobe's legacy is bigger than basketball. Kobe Bryant Boulevard will allow everyone, young and old alike, to remember that there is never an obstacle too big if you have the spirit of Mamba and that anything is possible. Councilor Herb J. Wesson Jr. announced on Twitter on Monday, referring to "Mamba Mentality", a term coined by the athlete to describe his philosophy of life.

A tragedy
