Are we responsible for the quality of housing projects that the developers put on the market as members of a community that consumers of this product?

The truth is, yes, we are responsible as individual consumers, as companies active in the real estate field, and as bodies concerned with regulating the sector, each of us is responsible for the quality of housing products offered in the market .. If we accept them as they are, then we are the ones who contribute to their existence.

If we accept more small spaces, then we are the ones who encourage developers to produce them, and if we accept areas that do not serve the population, then we contribute to encouraging developers to focus on their counterparts, and if we overlook the poor services and maintenance provided in some real estate projects, then we are the ones who encourage some developers to Pursuing more mediocrity .. Every silence and neglect of us about any gap or gap in real estate projects, we are the reason if their circle in the market expanded, and we do not blame anyone for that except ourselves as consumers, destinations and institutions specialized in monitoring developments in the real estate sector, because we preferred to remain silent about them and not confront.

The reputation of the real estate sector in Dubai is not disputed by two, and the luxury real estate was one of the factors that contributed to weaving the first pillars of the sector's reputation, and consolidating the position of the Dubai market among the largest real estate markets in the world, so should we allow this reputation to decline or support it to be the first ?!

If we decide to support them, then their support does not stop only on the diversification of legislative laws and circulars from the authorities concerned with the sector, as marketing, brokerage and real estate management companies and all individuals dealing with the real estate sector are interested in supporting this reputation.

As a consumer, I have the right to object to the type and design of the unit that is not up to the quality that I aspire to in a market such as the Dubai market, and is not in line with what I drew in my mind about this market based on what I heard about it. As a marketer and real estate broker, it is my duty to refrain from promoting and marketing those projects that do not meet the wishes and aspirations of the client. It is my duty to alert market stakeholders to every project that lacks quality standards and damages the market's reputation.

Supporting the development of the market does not depend only on those who enact laws. The consumer, brokerage, marketing and real estate management companies are parties that must have a voice in crystallizing and making those decisions to formulate a clear legislative structure for the sector, and decision makers must listen to those voices, no matter how simple their language and how they are presented. Each according to his understanding, but perhaps the meaning and intent may be greater, making a qualitative leap in the future of both the sector and the market.

• “Each of us is responsible for the quality of the housing products on the market.”
