[Explanation] Since August, the Lanzhou section of the Yellow River has ushered in the maximum flow into the flood season, and the water surface has become more and more dangerous. Almost every day, there are people falling into the water, some drunk, and some commit suicide. Sun Baoqing, 36, is a speedboat rider at Baitashan Wharf in Lanzhou and a volunteer at the Water Search and Rescue Center of Lanzhou Local Maritime Safety Administration. For 15 years in the industry, whenever he hears someone falling into the water or receives a search and rescue call, his body is like "winded up and pressed the fast forward button." He said that because of a delay of one second, one life might be lost.

I have been sailing here for fifteen or sixteen years. Every time I almost encounter a phone call, we go to (rescue). The (time) for golden rescue is 20 to 30 seconds to one minute at most. People are rescued, or if they drink too much water, they will choke to death. (Suicide) Some people walked to the side, try to persuade them to pull back, hit 110, and take away.
[Explanation] Since 2005, the Water Search and Rescue Center of the Local Maritime Safety Administration of Lanzhou City has established 14 Yellow River search and rescue stations, responsible for search and rescue missions in the waters of the Lanzhou section of the Yellow River with a total length of about 150 kilometers. There are 60 rescuers like Sun Baoqing and all rescue forces. Composed of private volunteers. Sun Baoqing said that those who are struggling on the verge of death have a "life-saving straw" for those who are struggling.

Ten years ago, it was (person) who was admitted to university, saying that he had no money at home, and finally came up and jumped from Zhongshan Bridge. We passed by two boats. After we got it, we got to the pier. He wanted to be second. After the second jump, a few of us suppressed it. After suppressing it, I poured him a glass of boiling water to drink, and finally hit 110 and pulled it away.
[Explanation] The 14 rescue stations, like the "120" on the Yellow River, save hundreds of lives each year. Every year, the water search and rescue center also regularly organizes water rescue drills to ensure its own safety while rescuing.

As soon as a person fell, he floated up by himself as soon as he fell two or three meters or three or four meters away. After he floated up, the person you rescued would see his head come out. You can see the timing, grab it and pull it up. If you can't hold it for more than twenty or thirty seconds, people choke after drinking a few sips of water and sink down. (Dangerous) Is there any? Some people drove up to the boat and couldn't hold them. His hands came to hold you, and the people who jumped into the river were also very nervous.
[Explanation] Up to now, the search and rescue center has dealt with more than 800 marine hazards, and 65 people have been rescued from the Yellow River in the first half of 2020 alone, with a rescue success rate of over 95%.
