The Sharjah Book Authority announced that it will continue receiving applications for nominations for the Sharjah International Book Fair awards until the first of next September, as it allows writers and publishers to apply for prizes in its seven categories: the best Emirati book (in the field of novel), and the best Arab book (in the field of novel) The best Emirati book in the field of creativity (travel literature), the best Emirati book (printed about the Emirates), the best Emirati book (in the field of studies), the best foreign book (fictional), and the best foreign book (nonfiction).

The exhibition, which will be held this year in its 39th session, seeks to encourage local innovations and support emerging talents in the Emirati community through the "Emirati Book" award in its four categories, as the winners receive financial prizes worth 400 thousand dirhams at a rate of 100 thousand dirhams for each category, and a category prize is given. "Creativity" every year for a new genre. This year, it was devoted to "travel literature" with the aim of highlighting the life and human experiences and attitudes that local authors have monitored.

As for the award for "best foreign book", in its two categories, "best fictional foreign book" and "best realistic foreign book", 50 thousand were allocated for each category.

In order to promote the reality of the book industry, and in honor of the efforts of publishers, the authority allocates the "Sharjah for Honoring Publishing House" award, which includes three categories: the award for the "best local publishing house", the award for the "best Arab publishing house" and the award for "the best publishing house."
