[Well-off China] Wu'an, Hebei: Opera empowers ancient villages

  Recently, the reporter came to the upstairs village in Wu'an City, Hebei Province. This century-old village at the foot of Taihang Mountain is one of the main heritage sites of the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage-Wu'anping Tiaoluozi. In the village, there is a Wu'anping Tiaoluozi Opera Troupe that has been uninterrupted for decades and is still active in Shili Baxiang.

  In recent years, the village has built Pingdiao Laozi Opera Museum, Pingdiao Laozi School, theaters, theme hotel courtyards, etc., relying on the opera and tourism resources outside the village. With the theme of "Mountain Living Township", to create a boutique opera town integrating tourism, shopping and entertainment, leading the villagers to embark on a unique path to wealth.
