"A very important mixing" of population with the re-entry
Accompanied by the mayor of Toulouse Jean-Luc Moudenc and an official from the Regional Health Agency (ARS) Occitanie, he justified this "important measure" by the fact that we are "on the eve of the end of the holidays" : "Everyone will come home" and "we will once again have a very important mixing" of population.
The prefect also specified that the controls will be "adapted": "We are not going to issue tickets where few people meet. At the beginning of August, the prefecture had imposed the mask in certain areas along the Garonne, where hundreds of people gathered every evening.

The director of ARS Occitanie, Pierre Ricordeau, for his part underlined that the situation in Toulouse is "worrying" with "a circulation (of the virus) much stronger than in the rest of the department and it has accelerated in the last days ".
