"According to the organizers, this festive gathering" organized by the Guyanese community "was initially supposed to bring together around a hundred people. But the actual number of participants is estimated at several hundred, the information having been actively relayed via social networks, ”explains the ARS, citing a“ high health risk ”.
The gendarmes noted "the absence of respect for barrier gestures, and in particular the wearing of a mask when the physical distance (1 meter) could not be respected". "The people likely to have been in contact with the virus are the participants, the musicians, the taxi drivers solicited", she adds.
Participants invited to be tested
The ARS estimates that the risk is all the higher because of the age of the participants, mostly between 20 and 40 years old, while the latest epidemiological point disseminated by Sante Publique France shows an increase of + 45% of cases. positive during the last week of July among 15 - 44 year olds.
“However, people between 20 and 40 years old who are infected are mostly symptom-free or with mild symptoms. The health risk is thus particularly high ", notes the health authority, which in particular urged participants to be screened and wear a mask" systematically "for 14 days" in the presence of a person ".
A message was also sent "to each participant on the risks incurred and the action to be taken".
