According to the official Weibo news of the Liaoning Provincial Health Commission, between 0:00 and 24:00 on August 8, there were no new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia in Liaoning Province. 5 newly confirmed local cases were cured and discharged, and 1 newly imported confirmed case was cured and discharged. On the same day, 4 cases of asymptomatic infection were cured and discharged (3 cases in local area and 1 case imported from abroad).
As of 24:00 on August 8, a total of 259 confirmed cases (including 35 imported from abroad) had been reported in Liaoning Province, 174 were cured and discharged, 2 died, and 83 were treated in the hospital. Currently, there are still 19 cases of asymptomatic infection in designated hospitals for isolation and treatment.
