Hundreds of visitors flocked to museums located under the umbrella of the Sharjah Museums Authority, which re-opened its doors nearly four months after the closure due to the new Corona virus (Covid-19).

Sharjah Museums Authority confirmed that it took all necessary precautions to ensure the security and safety of visitors and workers, and to limit the spread of the virus, defining a set of conditions and criteria to be observed for entry.

The museums witnessed, after its gradual opening, a large number of influxes, especially during the Eid al-Adha holiday, which many members of society took advantage of to visit its museums and see the museum holdings and enjoy the treasures they contain, while a number of visitors expressed their happiness at the return of the activity to the museums and their celebration of visitors and visitors. , Confirming that the precautionary measures taken by the body made them feel comfortable and confident and dispelled any concerns they had.

Manal Ataya, Director General of the Sharjah Museums Authority, said: “It is important for us to touch our visitors’ sense of confidence and safety, which encourages them to return and enjoy what our museums offer, and we hope that the numbers of visitors will continue to grow in the coming months. ”

It is noteworthy that the Sharjah Museums Authority has prepared to receive visitors with a set of precautionary measures to preserve the safety of its visitors and employees, such as measuring temperatures, as well as stipulating the necessity of wearing masks and gloves, commitment to physical spacing, providing sterilizers and gloves at the entrance of each museum, and providing screens that explain preventive measures.

The list of museums that re-welcome visitors in the first stage includes Sharjah Archeology Museum, Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization, Sharjah Art Museum and Sharjah Aquarium.
