He continued that the government’s decision to limit the duration of the investigation committee to five days is a precedent in Lebanon, and it is necessary to wait until the results are issued, indicating that this time the Lebanese judiciary is the one who bears the largest part of the problem, stressing that the statements are not enough, but strict and decisive measures should be taken without plot.

For his part, Editor-in-Chief of the Lebanese Major General Salah Salam said that the government alone is not able to deal with the repercussions of the incident due to its large scale, and that the government was unable to address any problems in the past, calling for the formation of a more effective and capable government than the current one to address the problem in all its details, effectively and quickly.

He added that the political situation in Lebanon and the ongoing division are fueling this problem, stressing that today the Lebanese must unite in order to work to deal with the consequences of this explosion, and Lebanon at the present time is unable to stand up for itself, and it needs urgent assistance in order to rebuild and get out of the economic crisis.
