A photo exhibition that recalls "Wasao", an Akita dog in Ajigasawa Town, Aomori Prefecture, which has been popular all over the country for being cute but cute, and which died in June this year, has started at a facility in the town.

From the 5th, a photo exhibition that looks back on the life of “Wasao” for about 13 years began at a facility in the town, and from about 100,000 photos taken by Ken Kudo who took care of “Wasao” 40 selected pieces are on display.

Of these, the picture taken in the spring immediately after the Great East Japan Earthquake was taken when "Wasao" was appointed as the sightseeing station manager of JR Ajigasawa station to rejuvenate Tohoku, and the stationmaster at the platform The figure wearing a hat is shown.

In addition, a photo of "Wasao" is displayed in the rape field alongside the owner, Setsuko Kikutani, who died three years ago and her partner, Tsubaki, who died last year.

A local woman who visited said, "I think Wasao worked hard for the town. I want to thank him for being a friend of the town."

The photo exhibition will be held in Ajigasawa, Ajigasawa Town, until August 30th except Monday and Tuesday.
