Reni Santoni has passed away. The Hollywood actor died on August 1 at the age of 81 after a long battle with an illness, US media reported, relaying the post on Facebook of producer Tracy Newman, a relative of the deceased.
Reni Santoni was known for his role as Poppie in the Seinfeld series , but also for playing Inspector Chico González in the movie Dirty Harry with Clint Eastwood.

Born in 1939 in New York, Reni Santoni began his career in the theater. At the end of the 1960s, he obtained his first significant role in the film Enter Laughing , the first feature film by Carl Reiner. Since then, spectators have seen him in Dirty Harry (1971), Bad Boys (1983) or 28 days (2000).
