Manar Sami, one of the influential girls on the social media application "Tik Tok", was sentenced by an Egyptian court today, Wednesday, to three years imprisonment for convicting "incitement to immorality," a judicial official confirmed.

"The Tanta Economic Court punished Manar Sami, the girl of the tuk-tuk prison, with three years in prison with work, and 300,000 pounds (a fine of about 19,000 dollars)," the official told AFP.

Manar Sami used to post videos and pictures of her on social media applications such as "Tik Tok" and "Instagram", where around 250,000 people follow her.

The authorities arrested Manar, who is 30 years old, earlier this month in Qalyubia Governorate, north of Cairo, and the Public Prosecution charged them with "inciting immorality and immorality, stirring instincts and advertising itself on social media"

The accused still has an opportunity to appeal the judgment.

Manar's imprisonment comes two days after the Cairo Economic Court punished with imprisonment for two years and a fine of 300,000 pounds for five girls for convicting them of violating society's values, including the two girls who affect Tik Tok Haneen Hosam and the affection of Adham.

The court set August 17 to hear the appeal of the five girls' ruling.
