Koshigaya City, Saitama Prefecture, announced that one person living in the city was confirmed to be newly infected with the new coronavirus.
According to Koshigaya City, the infection was confirmed in unemployed women in their 60s living in the city, and the symptoms of women are mild.
The woman had a fever and other symptoms after being contacted with a relative who had already been confirmed to have been infected.
The number of infected people announced in Saitama Prefecture has now increased to 1998.
