[Explanation] As of 0:00 on July 23, Hong Kong had a total of 2,249 confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia. In the past week alone, the number of confirmed cases was as high as 595, which is more than a quarter of the total. The third wave of epidemics in Hong Kong is raging. The SAR government announced that it will open the Lei Yue Mun Resort Quarantine Center from July 24 as a community isolation facility to relieve the pressure on hospital beds. This quarantine center, known as the "Hong Kong version of Vulcan Mountain", has once again entered the public eye.

[Explanation] Recently, a reporter from China News Agency visited the scene. At the Lei Yue Mun Resort’s golf course, which is surrounded by mountains and the sea, two-story townhouses are arranged neatly and orderly. The exterior walls are painted in different colors and wear The workers of the masks are doing the final finishing work. After the completion of this building, 234 independent isolation rooms can be provided. In the project headquarters next to the construction site, a huge reminder board is hung on the wall: the project has started for 1,308 hours.

[Concurrent] Huang Jiang, Assistant President, China State Construction International Group Co., Ltd.

We start construction 24 hours a day, so look at the countdown sign of our project, we all use hours as the unit. We hope that the second project can be completed tomorrow, the time is 1320 hours, plus 12 hours, total 55 days.

[Explanation] Same as Wuhan Huoshenshan Hospital, the "Hong Kong version of Huoshenshan" was also built by China State Construction Group. Huang Jiang is one of the persons in charge of this project. He told reporters that the completed phase 1 has 118 rooms and the construction takes time. Only 600 hours (25 days). The ultra-fast construction speed does not mean that the requirements are low, on the contrary, it must meet the requirements of more health and epidemic prevention.

It is more important to consider the design concept of hygiene and epidemic prevention and avoiding cross-infection. Therefore, we have made special technical optimizations in the design, whether it is ventilation, cleaning, disinfection, water supply and drainage, etc. To meet the requirements of the SAR government, especially the Department of Health for this quarantine, so it is not the same as some ordinary isolation centers.

[Explanation] When you walk into the room, you can see that the small house has everything in place. The bedside tables, wardrobes, single beds, and desks are neatly placed. Each room has its own bathroom and bathing equipment. The space utilization is very reasonable. It seems to be no different from a normal room.

[Explanation] Walking outside, you can see the difference here. The densely packed water supply and drainage system with different division of labor, independent air-conditioning, and an upturned pipe in each building are all preventing the spread of the virus from all levels. These elaborate designs were made by Zhao Lili, the medical consultant of the entire project and the former director of Princess Margaret Hospital in Hong Kong. The time used is also calculated in "hours".

As a medical worker, my help is in terms of design. One thing that is very important for the epidemic is the separation of patients and staff. Which way is for patients to enter and which way is for employees. The second is air pressure, fresh air and polluted air exhaust method, polluted air can not be sprayed to the clean air inlet. Third, there are many viruses in feces, and the treatment of toilets and sewers is also very important. We designed the entire map based on these aspects, and then discussed with the government. After researching with the doctors of the Health Protection Center of the Department of Health, because they are experts, our design They must accept it, and after a lot of (modifications), the whole plan was made.

[Explanation] Zhao Lili also formulated a series of epidemic prevention procedures for the construction workers. During the second phase of construction, there were quarantined people in the adjacent first phase, but none of the construction personnel were infected.

[Explanation] During the SARS period 17 years ago, Lei Yue Mun Resort was one of the quarantine centers; 17 years later, the enhanced Lei Yue Mun Quarantine Center was opened again to continue to protect the citizens of Hong Kong. On the high guard net of the quarantine center, there are bright red banners that read "Time is life". In the face of the epidemic, Huang Jiang, Zhao Lili, and more ordinary people use their wisdom, courage and reality. Actions live up to this sentence.
