Last week, an article discussed some sections of a safe workspace specification or guide under "Covid-19", a guide issued by the British Standards Authority, which included many lessons learned from different institutions and countries, and we complete today the rest of the guide's sections, where a section has been allocated To provide the necessary resources, such as financial resources, personal protection supplies and means of communication, as well as tools for the safe disposal of waste.

It is worth noting that many institutions in Britain, currently, give their employees an additional monthly allowance instead of consumption of electricity and the Internet, where employees work from home, and therefore part of the cost is borne by the employer.

The standard has focused on the importance of continuous communication and reassurance on employees working from home or outside the institution, and a whole section of the standard has been devoted to personal hygiene and the use of means of protection from infection.

In a lengthy section, steps and controls of the practical or operational side were explained, such as entry and exit to and from the workplace, use of toilets, how to move, as well as safe distances between workers and each other, controls for holding meetings, receiving clients or visitors to the workplace, receiving orders, correspondence and travel.

As usual in all specifications, a section was devoted to continuous improvement, and those concerned with the standard were encouraged to document any accidents or matters that could be learned and benefited from, especially in the event that those incidents relate directly to safety and safety standards, and urged continuous follow-up to updates received from external authorities and their study.

Although the specification is not a magic wand that solves all the problems of safe work under these conditions, but at least it gave a road map that can be adopted and learned from, especially since it took into account inputs from the International Labor Organization and many international institutions.

No one denies that most countries of the world, regardless of their level of progress and capabilities, have stood idly by at some stage not knowing in which direction to move, and to this day the vision remains unclear, even in Britain in particular, the restrictions of the ban have been eased since mid-July But there is great apprehension of what might happen.

Today, Britain, and on the recommendation of some researchers, has decided to stop publishing daily statistics as inaccurate, and the hope remains that a vaccine for this virus will be discovered quickly, and at the same time, the serious contribution of humans to living intelligently with these conditions, and not merging, taking into account safety measures Like the ones mentioned in that guide, and attention to hygiene in general, and in the end there is no refuge except for the Almighty.
