A donor paid 27,300 dirhams, the cost of the prosthetic leg of (Abu Abdullah - Egyptian) who suffered a run-over in his homeland of Egypt in 1992, and serious complications arose from him as a result of not replacing the old prosthesis.

And coordinated the "hotline" between the donor and the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai, to transfer the amount of the donation to the Dynamic Medical Equipment Center in Dubai, to install the prosthesis of the patient.

(Abu Abdullah) thanked the donor for his help and to stand by his side in light of the difficult circumstances he is going through at the present time, expressing his pleasure to hear the news of paying the cost of installing the prosthesis.

And "Al-Emarat Al-Youm" last week published the story of the suffering of (Abu Abdullah), who was unable to pay the costs of installing the prosthesis on his left leg after he was run over.

(Abu Abdullah) told "Al-Emarat Al-Youm", the story of his suffering with the disease, saying: "In 1992, I experienced a run-over in my country, and I did not receive first aid in time, which led to my loss of consciousness and severe bleeding."

He continued: «I was transferred to the emergency department of a government hospital for treatment, and tests, analysis and CT scans showed that the only treatment to save my life from death is amputation of the left leg from below the knee.

He added, "Despite the difficult decision, I agreed to perform amputation. I had no other choice, and the surgery was performed, and I stayed in the hospital for 29 days."

He explained that he received psychological rehabilitation and training on how to walk and move with the prosthesis, pointing out that the treating doctor advised him to change the prosthesis from three to five years, so as not to cause him serious health complications.
