The Guggenheim Abu Dhabi Museum launched its virtual program "In the Studio" to introduce a group of Emirati artists and residents in Abu Dhabi through a series of virtual visits and technical interviews.

Guggenheim Abu Dhabi chose a number of Emirati artists and residents in Abu Dhabi to display their artwork through the program, namely: Emiratis Maitha Abdullah and Hashl Al-Lamki, Iraqi Rand Abdul Jabbar, and Bahraini - American Nasser Al-Zayani.

The program starts with an interview with Maitha Abdullah in the “House 15” gallery tomorrow, which is a studio and artistic exhibition space, founded by Maitha in cooperation with Hasil Al-Lamki and Afra Al-Dhaheri. During the tour, her studio and her artwork, which deals with various topics, ranged between popular stories. And memories and travel using a variety of artistic media.

On the 28th of this month, Rand Abdul Jabbar will be introduced to her work that deals with contemporary stories about her homeland, Iraq, which she narrates through an account of her family history, and based on the extensive research she has undertaken, as Rand relies mainly in her artistic practice on the antiquities and ancient myths that integrate the personal and artistic aspects of the museum.

While Hasel Al-Lamki presents his various works that revolve around the concepts of unity, separation, duplication and contradiction, and he also presents his latest projects in the “House 15” gallery on the fourth of August.

Al-Zayani sheds light on how to preserve the deteriorating and lost natural scenes, by talking about his works and focusing on the lost monuments, and the concept of preserving their presence in our memories, on August 11.
