Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has reaffirmed that his country will continue to bear the responsibility it assumed in Libya, criticizing supporters of what he described as the Haftar coup regime, and described the Egyptian intervention in Libya as illegitimate, and he said that Abu Dhabi is moving there like a pirate.

Episode (17/7/2020) of the program "Beyond the News" discussed the message carried by Erdogan's affirmation that Turkey continues to shoulder its responsibility towards Libya, and its announcement near the conclusion of a new agreement with it with international participation, and the indications of American criticism of targeting the European mechanism to monitor the arms embargo on Libya, the Turks Without others.

Despite the international and regional controversy over the Turkish role in Libya since Ankara and Tripoli signed two agreements to demarcate maritime borders and military cooperation, Erdogan announced that Ankara is in the process of concluding a new agreement with Libya to which the United Nations is a party.

The writer and political analyst Omar Faruk Korkmaz pointed out that many countries of the world have begun to change their position towards the retired Libyan Major General Khalifa Hifter, and the trend towards the internationally recognized government of national reconciliation, indicating that Turkey is seeking to sign a new agreement with which the United Nations is a party.

Gorkmaz added that the Egyptian national security is not threatened by Libya or Turkey, but rather the threat came from more than 70 years ago from another country (referring to Israel).

The Turkish researcher emphasized that Erdogan seeks, in his cooperation with the government of reconciliation, that the future Libya be free of coupists, with international support, noting that whoever seeks to participate in the future of Libya should communicate with the government of reconciliation, not others.

On the other hand, the researcher and political analyst Ahmed Al-Anani said that when he threatens Egyptian national security, Cairo will not stand idly by, pointing to the presence of fears in the countries of the region and the European Union of Turkey's agenda in Libya.

Al-Anani added that the international community rejects the security agreement between Turkey and the Libyan Al-Wefaq government, accusing Turkey of seeking to establish military bases in Libya with the aim of threatening neighboring countries including Cyprus and Greece, especially with regard to oil exploration in the eastern Mediterranean.

For his part, Salah al-Qadri, the researcher in the issues of the Arab and Islamic worlds, considered that the Turkish president wants to send two messages, the first of which is that Turkey will move strongly in the next stage as it moved to restore Tripoli, and the second is to confirm that its agreements with the government of reconciliation are within international law, Hence, any dealings with any other Libyan party is considered a violation of international law.

Al-Qadri expected to reach a military confrontation in the coming stage in order to liberate Sirte and the oil crescent and move towards Sebha.
