  Starting from July 14, heavy rains occurred in many districts and counties in Chongqing, and heavy rains occurred in some districts and counties. Affected by heavy rains, Chongqing Rongchang Setihe River on the 15th experienced super-guaranteed water level flooding, causing damage to many townships in Rongchang and severely damaged power facilities and equipment. At the emergency repair site in Shuanghe Town, Rongchang, a 10 kV pole collapsed and the pole fell. The operation and maintenance workers of Rongchang Shuanghe Power Supply Station quickly entered the water to rescue, completed the removal of old poles, newly excavated pole holes, and assembled poles, etc., and immediately restored the power supply in the area.

  Continued heavy rainfall caused floods in many rivers in Chongqing. On the morning of the 16th, Chongqing Hydrological Monitoring Station issued three consecutive flood warnings. Among them, the highest water level of Donghe Hot Spring Station in Kaizhou District, Chongqing exceeded the guaranteed water level by an increase of about 5.1 to 5.6 meters. The Chongqing Hydrological Monitoring Station upgraded and issued an orange flood warning.

  Affected by the heavy rain, a dangerous situation of flooded pavement occurred in a section of Liangping District, Chongqing, G243 National Road. The rainwater, which had no time to drain away, had not crossed the road surface, and the deepest point was nearly 1 meter. More than 700 vehicles were stranded at the scene, and nearly 10,000 people were blocked. Staff from local transportation, public security, safety supervision, emergency and other departments have controlled the scene.

  The Wanzhou District of Chongqing, which borders Liangping District, was also hit by heavy rain. Due to the high intensity of rainfall, rapid rain and floods formed in the rivers, coupled with the impact of the previous rainstorm superimposed, on the 16th all parts of the Wanzhou district and urban areas suffered varying degrees of disaster. In the old street of Wuqiao Town, Wanzhou District, the depth of accumulated water reached 1.5 meters, and more than 30 residential buildings and 1,050 households were besieged by the flood. The Armed Police Chongqing General Corps Ship Detachment dispatched the assault boat and rushed to the incident area with life-saving throwers and life jackets. The trapped people are currently being transferred in an orderly manner.

  According to statistics from the Chongqing Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters, as of 17:00 on the 16th, the floods and landslides have caused 188,025 people in 206 towns (streets) in 19 districts and counties such as Wanzhou, Fuling, Tongliang, Youyang, Chongqing to die, and died of the disaster3 There were 4 missing persons, 7729 people were transferred by emergency, and 1678 people needed emergency assistance. The affected area of ​​the crops was 6211 hectares, of which 1157 hectares were harvested; 218 houses collapsed and 924 were damaged to varying degrees; the direct economic loss was 159 million yuan.

  Since this year, more than 100 sub-river rivers in Chongqing have experienced super-warning and super-guaranteed water level flooding; more than 1163 sub-small and medium-sized rivers have experienced significant flooding.
