Authorities in the north-eastern region of Catalonia in Catalonia on Sunday ordered the residents of the area around the city of Lleida to be confined to their homes due to a sharp increase in the number of cases from Covid-19.
Stay at home
"The population will have to stay" at home, announced regional health manager Alba Verges during a press conference. The area concerned, with more than 200,000 inhabitants, had already been isolated from the rest of Catalonia last Saturday.
