Lucy Liu may have already found her new first role on television. According to Variety , the actress of Ally McBeal has accepted the lead role in a brand new comedy for the ABC channel, titled Bossy (or Kids Matter Now , the title of the pilot not yet finalized).

The sitcom, created by Shana Goldberg-Meehan, will tell the story of Devin, the all-powerful boss of a furniture company, who will be embarrassed as soon as she decides to adopt a baby, which will confront her for the first time in his life ... to failure!
Pending projects
Lucy Liu played for 7 seasons in Elementary , the modern adaptation of the adventures of Sherlock Holmes for CBS, the ABC competition. This new pilot is part of the projects planned to be filmed before the end of the year by the American chain, alongside Rebel , with Katey Sagal ( Sons of Anarchy , Brides, Two Children ) and Home Economics , with Topher Grace ( That 70's Show ).
Most of the pilots could not be filmed as planned this year, due to the health crisis, Variety therefore specifies that the stars will not return to the set until the situation will make work possible.
