France has registered 14 new deaths linked to Covid-19 in the last 24 hours in hospitals, bringing to 29,979 the number of deaths since the start of the epidemic, announced Thursday the Directorate General of Health (DGS).

The decline in the number of patients in intensive care continues, 512 patients with severe form being affected, 17 less than Wednesday, said the DGS in a press release.

70% of patients in 4 regions

A total of 7,177 people are hospitalized for Covid-19 infection, with 79 new admissions recorded in 24 hours. The same four regions still receive 70% of patients hospitalized in intensive care: Ile-de-France, Grand-Est, Hauts-de-France and Guyana.

In Overseas (Guadeloupe, Guyana, Reunion, Martinique and Mayotte), there are 214 hospitalizations, including 41 in intensive care (four less than the day before).

The assessment in social and medico-social establishments (Ehpad), currently arrested at 10,476 dead, will be updated on July 15. The "virus continues to circulate on the territory", reminds the DGS.
