Clément Oubrerie and Julie Birmant are two confirmed comic book authors. The first published with his screenwriter Marguerite Abouet the famous series "Aya de Yopougon", which he adapted to the cinema. The second became known with a series of portraits of famous women, “Drôles de femmes” put in images by Catherine Meurisse. They are in their fourth collaboration: after "Pablo", on Picasso's youth, "Once upon a time in the east", "Isadora" which told the story of the dancer Isadora Duncan. The duo have just published "The trap of the Red Sea", a new adventure of their heroine Renée Stone. Suspense, action and change of scenery guaranteed, through a story with little onions that takes us from East Africa to the Caspian Sea via Djibouti and the Arabian Peninsula, in the footsteps of characters inspired by reality. The album was published by Dargaud editions.
Report: July 3 and 4 took place the 48h BD. An operation to promote the comic strip proposed by the association of the same name. Activities and meetings with designers and scriptwriters took place all over France and Belgium. Our reporter Amélie Beaucour went to one of her meetings.
