The swimming pool, being installed on the green corridor - City of Nice

This is new to the “heat wave plan” in Nice. From this Wednesday until August 31, an above-ground swimming pool of 15 m by 8 m will welcome the public on the promenade du Paillon. The system will offer different activities in partnership with "the French Swimming Federation and the Nice Swimming Azure Association", suggests the town hall.

After “open days” until Saturday (free from 10 am to 5 pm with slots of twenty people per hour), several operations will be offered. From Monday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., lessons will be offered to children from 8 to 15 years of age registered in leisure centers and who cannot swim.

Learning for children and sport for adults

The swimming pool will also be reserved, according to different time slots, for the smallest according to their ages. Baby swimmers, from 6 months to 3 years old, will be welcomed every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. (subscription at 20 euros). It will be the same day, between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m., for children aged 4 to 6 (always for 20 euros).

6-12 year olds who wish to learn to swim will have the right to courses of five one-hour sessions (Monday to Friday between 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.) at 30 euros.

Finally, aquagym, aquabike and aquafitness classes will also be available for adults. Reservations will be possible from Wednesday on site, but also on the Internet and by phone at 06.80.58.34.39.
