Information leaks only today. According to Ouest-France , on May 21, two of the seven female cheetahs, the oldest in the group, died due to acute poisoning in the Bioparc de Doué-la-Fontaine in Maine-et-Loire.

The zoo management explained to Ouest-France  that according to the autopsy, the two cats died because of the antiparasitic treatment which had been given to them the same morning and yet commonly used in this species.
