In his statements to the "Beyond the News" program on 25/6/2020), Al-Ashqar emphasized that Lebanese President Michel Aoun was aiming to invite all political forces in Lebanon for today's meeting to establish a comprehensive national dialogue in which all political forces in the country would express their views regarding the dangers that Threatening civil peace and stability of the country.

But Rashid Fayed, a member of the political bureau in the Future Movement, one of the political forces that was absent from the meeting, said that the political forces were absent from the meeting, because they realize that there is no benefit to it, and that those who called for the meeting and those who attended today refuse to specify the party that threatens civil peace and destabilizes Lebanon.

Fayed pointed out that the invitation to this meeting came after the application of the US Penal Code "Caesar" to the Syrian regime, which is an ally of the forces that attended the meeting, as it came after the state of public congestion resulting from the deterioration of the economic conditions in the country, noting that Prime Minister Hassan Diab approved during the meeting That the Lebanese people do not care about the data that will come out of the meeting, and that most of what is concerned with it is the price of the dollar against the price of the local currency, accusing the government of failing to find a solution to the big problems facing the Lebanese.

However, Al-Ashqar responded to Fayed's statements, refusing to hold the current government responsible for the deteriorating economic conditions in Lebanon, and said that the conditions that the country has reached today are the result of successive government policies 30 years ago, which he said now have jumped from the boat and stood in the other row, trying to download Its mistakes for a government that is not more than a few months old.

But Fayed defended the Future Movement - whose president, Saad Eddin Hariri, assumed the government since 2005 after the assassination of his father, Rafik Hariri, who was prime minister - that ruling in Lebanon is not limited to the government, but there are partners in it, stressing that the political forces that attended the Baabda meeting today She has been an active and essential partner during the past 15 years, and therefore she is also a partner in the current results on the ground.

Fayed said that today's meeting does not bear any importance, because it does not present clear and specific plans capable of saving Lebanon, and therefore the opposition political forces will not participate in a dialogue to sow ashes in Laayoune.
