As relayed by the Hollywood Reporter , Maren Louise Këhne ( Queen of Hearts ) will adapt the investigation become book ( The Club ) of Matilda Voss Gustavsson, for the big screen. The screenwriter portrays the journalist's investigation as "a landmark in Swedish cultural history" and a book "completely authentic without ever falling into tabloid sensationalism".

In total, 18 women confided in one another while the #MeToo movement and the Weinstein affair occupied the media space.
