Exhibition 421, the art and design destination in Abu Dhabi, has announced the launch of a home art residency program. The program aims to support creative practice in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia, to produce creative works and explore digital interactions, through their practices during the social isolation period. The residency program allocates a production budget of up to 30,000 dirhams to provide artists with the equipment, tools and raw materials necessary to achieve their projects. Receiving applications will begin on the private website until next July 18.

The program aims to encourage practicing creators to find new ways to interact with society, especially in light of a crisis that has forced everyone to resort to various digital templates with an accelerating pace. This technical residency is also concerned with researching creators in the mechanisms of communication, communication and multi-dimensional interaction with the public.

The director general of the 421 exhibition: Faisal Al Hassan said: “This year, as part of the objectives of the 421 exhibition, it was decided to launch an artistic residency program that would allow creative practitioners in the UAE and all countries of the region the opportunity to reside in Abu Dhabi, and take advantage of the exhibition support in their quest to find ways to interact Mass with their business during their stay in Abu Dhabi. And given the current circumstances, we rethinked a new formula for this artistic residency to interact and communicate with the creators, while they are in their workspaces and their own living ».

It is noteworthy that the home artistic residency program receives requests from all creators, whatever their specialties, such as visual and visual arts, artistic evaluation, design, technology, arts, music, culinary arts, theater and artistic performance.
