During Tuesday, the Cultural Council will award just over SEK 247 million to 699 organizers and actors who have sought financial crisis support in connection with the corona pandemic. Half of the support goes to the music area and one of those who has been supported is the artist Anna Bergendahl, known from the Melodifestivalen.

- I am very grateful even though it is not a comprehensive support. But that's something. And I'm glad it came so surprisingly fast, she says.

The Corona pandemic has resulted in an abrupt interruption in the Anna Bergendahl tournament. The restrictions due to the pandemic were introduced shortly after her participation in the Melodifestivalen this year.

Can pay the rent for any month

- When you are in the Melodifestivalen you invest a lot of money in the number and you see ahead that you should be able to pick it up for the rest of the year, she says.

That has not happened for Anna Bergendahl, instead gig after gig has been canceled, which is why the Cultural Council's crisis support is much needed.

- I'm glad that I, my band and my technicians can at least pay the rent for a month now, she says.

Among those who are awarded the largest amount are the Fotografiska museet in Stockholm and the production company Krall Entertainment, which is awarded 10 million each in crisis support.
