In the deep trench cliff on the east side of Aorun Sumosumu, Aohan Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, densely nested nests were arranged neatly, and tens of thousands of swallows flew in the sky.

On the 16th, the reporter stood on the edge of the deep trench cliff and saw the rows of fist-sized swallow nests more than 10 meters high on the gravel and black soil sections. Swallows returning from time to time stopped near the mouth of the nest. There are tens of thousands of neatly arranged swallow nests on the broken walls of several large sand pits that are several kilometers away.

The reporter learned from the Chifeng City Wildlife Conservation Center that this swallow is named Yashayan. It lives in swamps, especially rivers with sandy beaches, and mainly inhabits steep gullies and mountain rock belts. Nests are usually nested on sandy cliffs on the banks of rivers or lakes. Males and females take turns to dig holes in sandy cliffs with their mouths to form nests. The nests are horizontally tunnel-like and have a depth of 0.5 to 1.3 meters. Therefore, they are also called "Cliff Architect".
