Guest of "Culture Media", Rémi Faure, director of flow programs for the TF1 group, reviews the preparation and content of the finale of "The Voice", broadcast on Saturday evening on TF1. Even if the public will still be able to vote live, the program was recorded on Tuesday, because with the sanitary measures in force, the production of the program had to be adapted.

INTERVIEW

It's (finally) the big night! After several weeks of waiting and broadcasts, sometimes shortened or canceled on Saturdays from 9 p.m.,  The Voice  will deliver its verdict on TF1. Four candidates are still in the running: Tom Rochet, coached by Amel Bent, Antoine Délie, by Marc Lavoine, Abi Bernadoth, by Pascal Obispo and Gustine, by Lara Fabian. At the microphone of Europe 1, Remi Faure, director of flow programs for the TF1 group, looked back at the program and preparation for the program.

The final will be broadcast delayed

Unfortunately, like the semi-final, the show will not be live. "The final Tuesday was recorded and will reveal (the revelation of the results, ed ) live Saturday night at the end of the show," said Remi Faure, while reassuring the public: "It will be possible to vote live as usual ". Because the confinement had a great impact on the production of  The Voice , before March 13, the live broadcasts of the TF1 music show required the presence of 450 people on set and in production.

A team on set increased from 450 to 200 people

With the health protocol in force, "we had to work with about half, because it is impossible to bring 450 people to a closed studio with current conditions", regrets the director of the flow programs of the TF1 group , welcoming the work of the "shadow artists". In addition to this drastic drop in the number of people present on the set, a "covid-manager" was there to "hit us on the wrist when we were too close to each other or when we did not respect the sanitary rules ", says Rémi Faure.

Above all, the musicians, usually on stage with the singers, will not be there. They therefore "recorded the sound tracks in the studio, before the semi-final and the final". "We are in exactly the same configuration as in normal times, but each on our side," comments the music director of The Voice.

"The four coaches were great"

Under these conditions, how can artists rehearse properly? "There are lots of back and forth between them and the musicians," says Rémi Faure. "I must also salute the four coaches who were great because they were all very involved during the confinement," he said at the microphone of Europe 1.

Especially since the talents will sing three times. First alone, before making a duet with Kendji Girac, Clara Luciani, Slimane and Vitaa, or Vianney, then will return on stage. "It's a lot of work with a very short deadline," continues Rémi Faure. Because the director of the TF1 group's flow programs recognizes this: "We didn't know until a short time ago whether we were making the final in June or September".
