Canceling "Tokyo Alert" Considering easing leave requests New Corona 4/11, June 11

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government will cancel the "Tokyo Alert," which calls attention to the spread of the new coronavirus, on the 11th unless there is a sharp increase in the infection. In addition, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government is considering whether it is possible to proceed with the easing stage such as leave request at the same time as the decision to cancel.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government called for caution by issuing the "Tokyo Alert" for the first time on 2nd of this month, saying that there were signs of deterioration of the infection situation, but 18 people confirmed new infection on the 10th in Tokyo. Fell below 20 for four consecutive days.

As a result, we have fallen below the standard value for disabling alerts with two of the three indicators that indicate the status of infection set by the city.

If the situation does not suddenly worsen, such as being able to suppress infection confirmation on the 11th, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government plans to cancel the situation based on the opinions of experts.

It means that a specific date and time of cancellation is being considered as midnight on the 12th.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government is also considering whether it is possible to move from the current “Step 2” to “Step 3” at the same time as the decision to cancel the alert, and at the same time, ease the request for leave.

In "Step 3," restaurants such as taverns will be open until midnight the next day, and karaoke stores will also be open.
