Kylie Jenner took part in the initiative launched by Pull Up for Change, which encourages companies to reveal the ethnic distribution of their employees. As the association explains on Instagram, "although we understand and appreciate your support, be aware that surfing on a hashtag when you have been and are still part of the problem is once again to appropriate and exploit the community black ". Challenge is therefore launched to companies to put the map on the table and show everyone that their commitment is not just a marketing operation on social networks.

Dear Brands - Thank you for the public statements of support for the black community. Whereas we understand and appreciate the support, be conscious that to piggy back off a trending hashtag when you have been and continue to be a part of the problem is once again appropriating and exploiting the black community. So we ask all brands who have released a statement of support, to publicly release within the next 72hrs the number of black employees they have in their organizations at corporate level. We also need to know the number of black people you have in leadership roles. You all have statements and policies about being equal opportunity employers, so show us the proof! Pull Up for Change asked companies to "publicly disclose the number of black employees at head office in the next 72 hours" as well as "management positions".

Challenge accepted

Kylie Jenner ran on Kylie Cosmetics' Instagram account.

We therefore discover that his company employs 100% women, 47% of whom are “black, native American and of color” (BIPOC stands for Black, Indigonous and People Of Color) and of these 47%, 13% are black employees. 53% are therefore white, while "the management team is composed of two people Kylie Jenner and Kris Jenner" her mother.

Transparency welcomed by the Pull Up for Change association, which publishes on its account all the brands making the same effort as Kylie Jenner. Revlon, Beauty Blender, Shiseido and Unilever (Dove, Magnum, Lipton, among others), Sephora, Estée Lauder, and Lush have unveiled the ethnic distribution of their employees within their HQs, and key positions.
