At the time, the TF1 news channel wanted to make a big hit with this excluded, and dreamed of imposing itself in cafes and PMUs, where punters try to bet on the good horse by having a coffee. But in bartering, it is BFMTV which is most often broadcast in a loop. "On LCI, the audiences were very low. The news was that from time to time, the quinté could no longer be broadcast. We, we need a regular meeting, and the channel must play the game ", explains to Europe 1 Cyril Linette, owner of PMU.

"A very broad partnership"

Despite this failure of a competing channel, BFMTV, in the same group as RMC Découverte, believes in turn, and wants to establish its place as a favorite news channel for bistros a little more. "It meets the objective of broadening the audience a bit, since everyone is watching BFM", confirms Cyril Linette, praising "a very broad partnership which will touch our core target". And to conclude, "as always, this is the objective of PMU, and that's how for a year, we have had good results".

On BFM-TV, you will find in particular "a small presentation in the form of a banner and a reminder of the results of the race just after," said Cyril Linette.
