Just two years old, Damai, an orangutan, was saved from certain death. In early May 2020, the owner of a petrol station in the city of Bengalon in Indonesia, saw strange movements coming from a bag hanging on a motorcycle. In this bag was a baby orangutan that a man was about to leave in the forest. The owner managed to bring the orangutan to the local police. The NGO Four Paws then came to rescue him. It was named Damai, "peace" in Indonesian. At the Four Paws Forest School, Damai was able to receive care and food.
