Xinhua News Agency, Kunming, June 4th (Reporter Pu Chao) Some people said that he was the star of the night, some people said that he was a beacon in the mountains, and some people said that he was a model of the new era...He has stayed there for 34 years, One person props up a school, teaches children to read and read, teaches children to do things. He said that he is an ordinary rural teacher, doing his best to do his job.

His name is Nong Jiagui, and he is a teacher at Luosongdi Primary School in Liancheng Town, Guangnan County, Wenshan Prefecture, Yunnan Province.

It used to be a rare village. In the 1950s, there was an epidemic of leprosy in Guangnan County. In order to avoid the spread of immunization, local government departments concentrated leprosy patients in Luosongdi Village for rehabilitation treatment. The maximum number of patients was more than 80.

Leprosy is a chronic infectious disease caused by leprosy bacillus, and most patients have different degrees of deformity. At that time, no one dared to approach the village except for the doctors in the county who went to the special point in the village entrance of Luosongdi Village to distribute medicine.

With the timely treatment of the patients and the effective control of the leprosy epidemic, the villagers of Luosongdi Village rekindled their hope for a better life. They built a simple adobe house as a classroom and wanted to find a "literate" person to teach their children. Read and read. Many people avoid it as soon as they hear about their village, let alone teach.

On September 1, 1986, Nong Jiagui, who dropped out of school because of family poverty in high school, persuaded his uncle to gather up the courage to come to Luosongdi Village to see if he would take this hot potato.

Many years have passed, and he still remembers the situation that day. "I was very scared when I saw the villagers at first glance, some squinted their eyes, some crooked their mouths, some crawled, some kneeled... My legs were shaking, and I just wanted to turn around and run. But when I When I saw the helpless and disappointed eyes of the old people and the eyes of the children who were hungry for knowledge, my heart softened, and I stayed with a complicated mood." Nong Jiagui said, looking back now, his heart will be Faintly pain.

He became the first teacher here. This stay is 34 years.

One teacher, one school. The first grade, the second grade, the third grade... from one class, to two classes, three classes... up to six classes, he taught by himself. Although there are not many students, there are only a handful of classes.

Initially, Nong Jiagui wiped his hands with alcohol to sterilize every get out of class. Over time, he slowly integrated into the area and began to teach the children to read and write by hand. He also moved to the village.

Wenshan Prefecture and Guangnan County continued to increase the diagnosis and treatment of leprosy in Luosongdi Village, and the patients were successfully cured one by one. According to Zhan Longyun, deputy head of the Guangnan County Dermatology Prevention and Management Station, since the last relapsed case was cured in April 2011, no new or recurrent leprosy cases have occurred in Luosongdi Village.

In addition to teaching and teaching, Nong Jiagui also served as a child's nanny and cook. After implementing the "Student Nutrition Improvement Program", he ran back and forth between the classroom and the kitchen every day. Nong Jiagui said: "Every morning at 7 a.m., I wake up and cook for the students, and start the get out of class at 8 a.m. After class at noon, I take the older students to cook for two meals per meal."

The villagers are always moved by the farmer and the villager when they get along. "In order to retain me, the villagers raised their own money and subsidized me 35 yuan a month. After every steaming and disinfection in a pot, the doctor passed the money to me. The villager also set aside a small plot to help me grow vegetables, Raising chickens and ducks. I have always remembered the villagers leveling the playground under the moonlight and using the spatula to collect the pulp. They were physically and mentally hard, and they were not deeply moved by the energy of bowing to their destiny. Without hands, they held them in their arms Hoes open up wasteland; without feet, they walk on their knees and kneel on tires; without relatives, they unite and help each other." Nong Jiagui said, whenever I think of these, I don’t think I have any reason to complain or ask for it. , I think there is nothing difficult to overcome.

In the eyes of colleagues, Nong Jiagui is an unpretentious person. He Zhenggang, a teacher at Beining Central School in Guangnan County, said: "For many years, his enthusiasm for students and villagers has not diminished. His dedicated work style has remained the same. He is humble and has a harmonious relationship with his colleagues."

Seeing the children grow up slowly every day, the knowledge is getting richer and richer. Over the past 34 years, 102 students have entered junior high school, walked out of Luosongdi Village, and walked to the outside world.

34 years of wind and rain, 34 spring, summer, autumn and winter, 34 years of perseverance. Nong Jiagui said: "The reason why I am able to persevere is because the children here need me and the villagers need me. I am a teacher of the people and a member of the Communist Party. Teaching and educating people is my original intention and mission."

Zhu Wei, a full-time deputy secretary of the Guangnan County Education and Work Commission, said: "Nongjiagui is not afraid of suffering or tiredness, regardless of personal gains and losses. For 34 years, he has been sticking to the same position with selfless dedication and hard work. He often uses his own small salary for the school. Contribute and donate to the Education Foundation. He is a model for cadres and employees of the county's education system."

Today, Luosongdi Primary School has become a demonstration base for ideal and belief education in Guangnan County. Newly recruited civil servants and teachers must come here to receive education and baptism. Luosongdi Village has also become a demonstration village for national unity and progress. This once "leprosy village" has become a happy village with a civilized civilization, neat village appearance and ample life.

Nong Jiagui is still the ordinary village teacher. The bell rang and he went into the classroom with chalk and textbooks and continued to teach the children.
