The prefect of the Pyrénées-Orientales, Philippe Chopin, has threatened to close some bars in Perpignan, pointing to the non-compliance with barrier gestures and sanitary measures in certain establishments.

"The security forces noted [June 2], the first evening of phase 2 of the lifting of confinement, irresponsible behavior and breaches of health rules in certain drinking establishments in Perpignan," notes the prefect.

. @ Prefet66 recalls the barrier gestures still in force and indicates that the actions observed by the @PoliceNationale yesterday in certain drinking establishments (bars) in #Perpignan are not responsible with regard to the circulation of covid19.

No masks, crowded tables…

Philippe Chopin deplores “the absence of masks, a number of people per pedestal table greater than 10, systematic tables of 10 customers, large numbers of customers indoors, an absence of distinct traffic flows…”

The representative noted that such acts "are not responsible with regard to the circulation of the virus" and did not rule out lowering the curtain of bars which did not comply with the measures in force.
