Member of the Council of Senior Scholars in Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Mutlaq, explained that covering the mouth and nose during prayer in the Islamic religion is forbidden, but under the pandemic conditions of Corona, wearing a muzzle is "desirable."
Al-Mutlaq added, during the fatwas program on the official Saudi channel, that the elderly over 65 years, who have been advised by the competent authorities to pray in their homes, must pray in their homes until the epidemic ends.
He emphasized that with the end of this pandemic, people are not allowed to pray Friday except in mosques where fatwas have been issued, according to the direction of the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, because it is they who study such matters.
