Actor Alec Baldwin and director Woody Allen on the set of "Blue Jasmine" - Steve Sands / Starface

Should Alec Baldwin have chosen a better time to promote his latest podcast? And choose to interview another personality?

On Tuesday, the American actor posted a photo of Woody Allen, announcing that he had interviewed the controversial director. However, this Tuesday was that of "Blackout Tuesday", an initiative set up in reaction to the death of George Floyd. On Instagram, black squares posted by users have multiplied as symbols of protest against police violence and racism.

In addition, Woody Allen is still accused of sexual assault by his daughter Dylan Farrow, the announcement caused scandal. "I think Woody Allen is innocent and it's my right"

Alec Baldwin doesn't seem to really understand why he's been attacked from all sides since he decided to share this link.

"Three things: the professional life of certain people cannot be put on hold to satisfy the desires of politically correct. I think Woody Allen is innocent and it is my right. Posting a black screen today or any other day, even if it is a laudable feeling, is not a very effective political posture. Voting and working to convince others is much more effective, "posted the star, explaining that the interview was conducted several months ago and that it was out of the question to change the broadcast schedule for his podcast.

Woody Allen, for his part, did not react to the controversy.
