A nude portrait of Jennifer Aniston, taken by photographer Mark Seliger in 1995, is being auctioned for charity. The proceeds are intended for the fight against the coronavirus, the actress announced on Instagram on Tuesday.

In the black and white photo, Aniston is sitting cross-legged, strategically covering her body. Aniston announced the news with a video showing the famous photographer working on the photo in a dark room.

The two worked together when Seliger photographed the entire cast of the Friends series . The popular sitcom premiered the year before.

"My best friend Mark Seliger worked with RADvocacy (a non-profit charity organization) and Christie's (British auction house, ed.) To auction 25 of his portraits - including mine - to help fight against the coronavirus, "writes 51-year-old Aniston.

All proceeds from the sale will go to the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics, which offers people in the U.S. free corona testing and care, Aniston said.

Monday, $ 6,500 (more than 5,800 euros) was already offered for the portrait.
