  According to reports, germplasm is the general term for the genetic material of living things, and it is the basis for life continuation and ethnic reproduction. The Tibet Germplasm Resource Bank was completed and operated in 2017, and continued to organize the collection and preservation of biological germplasm resources.

Is a good thing.

  [Explanation] The Tibet Germplasm Resource Bank collects and preserves germplasm resources such as plant seeds, plant isolated materials, vertebrate and insect bank tissues, large fungus and microbial germplasm. In the low temperature and dry environment of the germplasm resource bank, the life of the seeds is maximized.

According to the existing greenhouse function, Tibet's rare and endangered Tibetan medicinal materials, rare wild and endemic plants, wild Orchid plant resources and other living preservation and cultivation technology research.

  Our purpose is to use the seeds of these plants, or a living body of plants, to carry out these (work) by doing tissue culture experiments or sowing experiments without destroying the wild habitats. Artemisia annua, second-grade urnu gentian, or third-grade Himalayan purple jasmine, mainly do (right) these (plants) to carry out work, and then hope to return to the original cultivation, (this is) the ultimate goal.

  We have already preserved more than 20 kinds of orchid plants resources of more than 20 kinds. We strive to bring 70% to 80% of orchid plants in Tibet in the next 3 to 5 years. Able to save living body.
