• Takeoff: NASA and SpaceX open a new space age by launching the private Crew Dragon spacecraft with astronauts
  • Crew Dragon.USA has its own ship again: This is the space taxi that SpaceX has built for NASA

Nineteen hours after the exciting launch of the Crew Dragon spacecraft, NASA astronauts Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley have arrived at the International Space Station. The crews have successfully completed the always delicate phase of coupling the vehicle to the orbital platform, located about 400 kilometers from Earth.

Its mission, the first to bring astronauts aboard a ship built by a private company, has opened a new era in space exploration in which private companies are expected to cut costs in the sector.

During their trip, the two NASA astronauts revealed the name they have chosen to baptize the SpaceX capsule in which they have traveled: they will call it Endeavor (which means effort), the same name that one of the ferries (shuttle) bore.
