According to the official Weibo news of the Public Security Bureau of Guilin City, it has recently been reported that "the Yangshuo woman's home was injured by sexual assault and the police will not file a case". In this regard, the Yangshuo County Public Security Bureau issued a circular on the 30th, saying that because the facts could not be determined, a decision was not made to put the case on file, and the decision has been supervised by the procuratorate.
According to the report, on September 5, 2018, Zhuge Moufang and his brother-in-law, Chen Mou, were beaten by Chen because of trivial matters. After receiving the alarm, the police in the Yangshuo Chengguan Police Station summoned Chen Mou to the case and sent Zhuge Moufang to the doctor for treatment. After the incident, Zhuge Moufang was consulted by many parties, and his injury only reached a slight injury. Therefore, he did not cooperate with the public security organ's case investigation for a long time. Until March 5, 2019, Zhuge Moufang did not cooperate with the production of the transcript. On April 2, 2019, the Yangshuo County Public Security Bureau made administrative detention for Chen by beating others. On November 25 of the same year, because the public security organ could not determine the fact that Chen Mou raped Zhuge Moufang, he made a decision not to file the case and served it on Zhuge Moufang himself. The decision has been supervised by the procuratorate.
Zhuge Moufang filed economic compensation with Chen Mou. Because the two parties could not reach an agreement, the public security organ recommended Zhuge Moufang to bring a lawsuit to the court.
The report also stated that the current untrue statements on the Internet distorted the facts, damaged the credibility of state organs, and caused bad influences in society. The public security organs have launched an investigation and will collect evidence to hold relevant personnel legally responsible.
