American actor Hagen Mills , known for his role in the series Baskets , has committed suicide after trying to murder his partner, Erica Price.
Mills, 29, held his 4-year-old daughter, his mother-in-law and his girlfriend, whom he shot multiple times before killing himself, Variety notes. It was Price herself who managed to escape and alert the authorities.
According to the police, Erica Price suffered "gunshot wounds to the arm and chest" although she is stable after being treated at the hospital. Both the girl and Erica's mother suffered no physical damage.
As reported by the New York Daily News, Hagen Mills already had a history of serious crime arrests .
Born in Kentucky, Mills moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting. In 2013, he played Buck Barrow, the older brother of Clyde Barrow in the movie Bonnie & Clyde: Justified . Although his best known role has been that of the Baskets series .
