Danny Boyle will direct Methusaleh , a Hollywood film that has been in the works for several years, and to which many directors and actors have been attached over the years, according to Variety. Last year, Michael B. Jordan signed on to be the lead actor in the feature film, and also one of the producers.

- Variety (@Variety) May 17, 2020Telling the story of a man who has not aged for several hundred years, Methusaleh is originally a concept by James Watkins, and reworked in particular by Arash Amel and Zach Dean. In addition to Danny Boyle in directing, the script should be reworked by his usual collaborator, Simon Beaufoy.
A film in limbo
Methusaleh is one of those films whose development seems cursed, going from director to director, many actors being supposed to embody the main character. Tom Cruise had in particular been tipped for a collaboration with Joachim Ronning, director of Pirates of the Caribbean: Revenge of Salazar .
It remains to be seen whether Danny Boyle and Michael B. Jordan will succeed in breaking the curse…
