The family of the Syrian series "Portrait" has resumed filming the remaining episodes in Damascus, after being forced to stop working two months ago and exit the Ramadan program race, as part of measures to confront the epidemic "Covid-19".

The General Organization for Television Production in Syria stopped all filming operations until further notice, following a series of government decisions that included the closure of institutions, markets, public places, schools and universities and the imposition of a night curfew, before it allowed last week and for only 10 days to resume filming operations according to strict protective conditions.

On a filming site in the Mezzeh area of Damascus, the director, Bassem Silka, told "Agence France-Presse": "We resumed filming after taking official approvals and taking health measures." He explained that the selected scenes of photography at the present time require relatively few numbers of actors and technicians, while the filming of the big scenes was postponed to a later time.

The social series revolves around a love story that takes place under unusual circumstances, addressing the possibility that love will continue despite the deposits of the past between the two beloved families. The screenplay was written by Talid Al-Khatib, and starring a number of Syrian actors, most notably Salim Sabri, Fadi Sobeih, Saif Subaie and Madiha Knefati.

The new Corona Virus brought out "portraits" and other Syrian series from the Ramadan season shows, and postponed its presentation to an unlimited time.
Photographers, actors and most professional staff wear protective masks and gloves during work. They are divided into several rooms to ensure social divergence, while subjecting them to the tools they use for continuous sterilization.

After taking off his protective mask and sterilizing his hands in preparation for performing a scene, Syrian actor Fadi Sobeih said, "We take all measures when we are behind the camera," explaining that "gags and sterilizers have become an essential part of photography like cameras."

"The whole world is changing because of Corona, and drama and television are part of this change," he added.
