At three o'clock in the morning on May 15, a cargo ship from Wujiang to Shaoxing sank 200 meters east of the Genshan Railway Bridge in the Beijing-Hangzhou Canal. The ship was loaded with 600 tons of yellow sand. As of press time, the transfer has ended, and the cargo compartment is currently being drained. Rescue is expected to be completed today, and water navigation will be resumed after completion. The specific cause of the accident is still under investigation by the law enforcement personnel of the port and shipping.
