Saitama Inpatients and 7 new infections confirmed New Corona May 2 20:05
Saitama City announced that seven people have been confirmed to have been infected, including inpatients in hospitals in the city where multiple coronavirus cases have been confirmed.
According to the city, 6 of them are patients in their 50s to 90s and occupational therapists in their 30s who were admitted to the Sai Kuni Higashi Omiya Medical Center.
Up to now, 11 people including physiotherapists, nurses, and inpatients have been confirmed to have been infected in this hospital, and inpatients in their 80s have died. In the city, we believe that clusters and infected population may have occurred, and we are investigating the route of infection in detail and proceeding with the inspection of inpatients.
Also, in order to prevent the spread of infection, the hospital announced that it will suspend emergency and outpatient treatment and hospitalization from 2 days for the time being, except in cases of emergency.
In Saitama prefecture, a total of 14 infections were announced in Saitama prefecture and Kawaguchi city on the 2nd, and the number of people infected on that day was 21.
The number of infected people announced in Saitama Prefecture is now 886.
